The Grand Canyon has to be one of the most majestic places on Earth! After sleeping off the first full day of of a long backpacking trip down to the Colorado river, I stepped out of the tent to stretch my sore muscles, turned around and this is what I saw. Breathtaking!

Yellow Jacket
I'm usually holding a can of RAID when I sneak up on one of these yellow jackets in our backyard, but thankfully this time I was holding my camera with my macro lens mounted. This little bugger landed just long enough to pose for me and allow me to snap a picture.
